I have had to put my Tweet a Week project on hold for two weeks, as I took a mini trip to Amsterdam, and then got really busy with ‘real’ work. It was disappointing to mess up my momentum with this self initiated project, but hey ho, here’s my latest efforts. I hope you like it!

Julia Child would have turned 100 years old this week, and the world of Twitter was awash with feisty quotations and admirable tweets for the world renowned cook. About this time, NASA published the craft’s very own Twitter account ( @MarsCuriosity ) which has been providing surprisingly light-hearted updates throughout the week. Predictibly, this was shortly followed by a succession of spoof accounts, my favourite being that of @MarsCuroisity from which my tweet of the week was spawned.
This week’s illustrated tweet could only be Olympic related really, couldn’t it? I illustrated @shitlondon ‘s tweet. “Unfortunate photo of an Olympian of the day” featuring a rather amusing twit pic of an athlete in action.
This week I chose this charmingly optimistic retweet of Robert Peston’s comment on the recession, made by @jameshopkirk. To me it summed up what this weeks been all about in fair old England - when the suns out, the smiles are out. All we Brits really need is beer and sunshine. When we have both - what recession?
